Summary
KipJet works without an account and does not use tracking or advertising cookies. To run the service we process a small amount of technical data, most of which is deleted within minutes.

What we process and why
We only process what is needed to run the service and protect it from abuse:
- Video links you submit: used only to fetch the video information and download links. The result is cached for 30 minutes so repeated requests are fast, then deleted.
- Download links: each file sits behind a random temporary link that expires after 15 minutes.
- IP address: used to limit how many requests one connection can make per minute. This counter is deleted after about a minute.
- Server logs: our servers record technical logs (IP address, date and time, requested address, browser type) for security and troubleshooting. They are kept for at most 14 days.
What we do not do
We do not create profiles, do not sell data and do not share it with advertisers.
Legal basis
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure, working service (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
Cookies and statistics
The site does not set tracking cookies. Our hosting and security provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site against attacks. If we measure traffic, we use aggregated, cookieless statistics that do not identify you.
Advertising
The site currently shows no advertising. If we add ads, we will ask for your consent before any advertising cookie is used, and update this policy first.
Content loaded from TikTok
When we show a preview of a video, the thumbnail is loaded directly from TikTok’s servers, which therefore receive your IP address. The downloaded file itself is streamed through our server.
Service providers
The website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. The download service runs on servers provided by OVH SAS, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France. These providers process data only on our instructions. Where data is transferred outside the European Union, it is protected by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. As we keep almost no data and cannot link it to your identity, we may need details such as the time of your visit to find it. Write to [to be completed before launch].
